- January 2019 -

Jada Knight

Rancho Dominguez Key Club

"Jada should be member of the month because she has grew a lot throughout the term. She has been consistently going to DCMs even though she’s a new member and was very shy at first. She has volunteered at many events as well. Although it’s her first year in key club, I acknowledge her courage, eagerness, and ability to be involved in so many events and socials."

Vyanh Tran

Gahr Historian

"This person deserves this award because she has so much dedication to her club and to her division. Though there were some ups and downs with her position she took action and reflected on what could’ve been better. With her dedication she was able to become stronger and become a better leader. And also she is in the process of making and publishing an upcoming fundraiser for her club."

"This club has showed up to many of the division events and fundraisers throughout January. They plan on working with community service programs such as, K-Kids on making cards for the veterans serving in the military, making blankets for the homeless, and helping elementary students cross the streets. With a passion for key club, they continue to serve the division at a high level. Hopefully we’ll see them at our upcoming events and see who our next Lieutenant Governor for the 2019-2020 term!"

Box of Joy

St. Joseph Key Club

"This club had their members bring their recycled shoe boxes and used it to put children’s toys in it. They collected over 20 boxes and donated the toys to the Angel Step Inn which is a group that helps victims that experienced domestic violence."

December 2018 -

Rachna Raman

Gahr Key Club

"This person has shown a tremendous passion for service and key club in just the first few months of her freshman year! She is super outgoing & is the epitome of the key club core value, Inclusiveness. She is always concerned for the well being of others in key club and has such strong leadership qualities at such a young age."

Rachel Borje

Millikan President

"This officer is someone who is energetic and passionate. She always goes above and beyond her duties for her members and her club. She has shown so much club spirit and has inspired new members to get out of their comfort zone and participate in different events."

Cabrillo Key Club

"We would like to recognize this club for their efforts, passion, and spirit that they have put into Key Club. They have been so involved with our events and gave it everything they can to make it a memorable time for all of us. They always bring so much enthusiasm and charisma in the work that they do. We would like to honor Cabrillo High as Key Club of the month!!"

"This club prepared over 100 goodie bags for their local church event and they will also distribute the goodie bags to the children to celebrate the holiday season."

- November 2018 -

Sara Marie Quibin

Sato Key Club

"This member has shown lots of energy and spirit at fall rally. This person has a huge passion for Key Club and is always excited to attend every club meeting and for that she deserves recognition for her dedication!"

Mia Sam

Sato President

"This officer is someone who is sweet and at every event she makes her members feel welcomed. She always looks out for her members for Fall Rally and answering any questions that her members have for her. Overall, we are thankful to have such a hardworking officer in our club."

Poly Key Club

"This club has been consistent at attending events throughout the Month of November and they also provided spirit gear for the division. But most importantly their turnout for Fall Rally was amazing and their members were able to show off their ninja spirit."

"For the Thanksgiving holidays this club partnered with their school’s ASB as they collected food and other gifts that would be put into complete packages to be sent to the Cerritos Optimist Club and to local families in need in the Cerritos, Artesia area. In total the club was able to collect over 50 items!"

Kian Cabahug

Cabrillo Key Club

"This person deserves to be recognized for his dedication towards the club and always setting the example for what a great member should be. This member tries his best to go to most, if not all, events despite being a very busy student. His attentive to what events are present and makes sure to plan ahead so he can make it to the events."

Kobe Tith

Wilson Vice-President

"This person deserves deserves an award not only for doing the job he was asked to do but going up and beyond by trying his best to make it to all the events D13S has in store. His spirit is high and he’s wonderful at interacting with all the members including the members from other schools."

Sato Key Club

"The Sato Key Club is such a hard working key club and has been highly involved in all division events. From being an essential part to helping win the spirit stick in RTC, to having many of its members be some of the most consistent. The Sato key Club has grown tremendously since it was first charted just a few years back and has so much momentum that it looks like nothing will stop it soon!"

School Supply Drive

Gahr Key Club

"Kevin is someone who works hard all the time especially when it comes to coming up with ideas for fundraisers. He is also active at meetings and is a reliable member for service events!"

Daniel Le

Bellflower Webmaster

"Daniel’s passion, commitment, and dedication is very evident in the work that he does for our club. As webmaster, he has taken his position to new heights. He is continuously creating new graphics for club service announcements (club rush announcements, first meeting graphics, rtc graphics), effortlessly managing our Bellflower Key Club instagram page, updating it constantly with the latest key club info, and has taken it upon himself to redesign our club website. When our Historian is unable to submit articles or visuals, Daniel is always there to get the job done. Thanks to him, our club is able to reach the amount of people we have reached this term and I am very thankful to have a passionate leader in my club. Above all, he is always there to assist me with help that I need and overall has shined well this month.

"Bellflower Key Club has done so much at the division level when it comes to serving their communities at divisional service events and also attending our latest social event, the D13 Newbie Social! They brought lots of new potential key club members where they learned a lot more about Key Club while bonding with new people. The club’s strong officer board has done an amazing job at recruiting new members ever since the start of the term and I can’t wait to see what they’ll do in the future!"

Lynda Howard

McBride Key Club

"Lynda has been one of the most active members in McBride Key Club. She shows up to event after event and she even helped promote the club to the school. Her participation also continues during the summer, where participation tends to be lacking. This is also astonishing as she is one of the newer members of the club and clearly deserves this award."

Neha Patel

Poly President

"I believe Neha deserves this award because she goes above and beyond for her club. Not only does she communicate well with her board and club, but she also emphasizes the importance of inclusiveness. She is constantly working on new ideas that will help benefit both her club and division and shows great leadership skills. She is truly amazing at what she does and does it all with a smile on her face despite her busy schedule."

"This club showed lots of progress for not only the past month, but the whole term. You’ll always catch one of their officers or members at a service event and even fundraisers to better serve their communities. They have so many ideas for the upcoming school year and there’s no doubt that it belongs to Rancho Dominguez!"

Devin Caldejon

Mayfair Key Club

"Devin has been a member since his freshman year and has dedicated his time to key club and is someone who has a lot of spirit. He also finds ways to participate in division events despite all the schoolwork and tennis practices that keep him busy."

Kate Wasson

Millikan Secretary

"Kate deserves officer of the month because she goes above and beyond when it comes to helping her officers and she makes sure everyone’s hours are updated and submits her MRF’s on time!"

VBS Decorating Event

Gahr Key Club

"This club volunteered at the Vietnamese Alliance Church of Orange for their Vacation Bible School for the Youth Group. The members designed and decorated the rooms and halls for 3 days. Overall it was a great experience for the members because they had fun decorating the rooms for the kids and since they did an amazing job of decorating the rooms the church invited them to volunteer at their future events!"

Sun Sun Lin

Wilson Key Club

"I believe she deserves this award because she always aides us whenever we’re troubled, stuck, or have an idea to help our club. She always stays in touch with our key club and occasionally comes to the meetings although it’s a school day! For example, our club had wished to throw a bonfire and as we told her and asked for help, she didn’t hesitate to assist us plan this wonderful bonfire we had! We honestly couldn’t do much without her!"

- JUNE 2018 -

Paloma Mitri

McBride Key Club

"Paloma managed to strike a major deal by getting kabobs from her father’s restaurant and we plan on selling the kabobs for our fundraiser. She was also very instrumental in planning our booth."

Chizaram Iwuanyanwu

Bellflower Vice President

"Right off the bat, Chizaram was one of the officers that jumped up and took initiative the first day the cabinet met to discuss our club goals and overall what we, as a club, wanted to accomplish for the term. Within the first days, she went far above my expectations when she volunteered to help out our historian in creating multiple online and physical flyers to promote our upcoming Blood Drive , posting these flyers all around campus and on various social media platforms. In addition to this, she has not let her personal life and academics interfere with her duties as vice president, such as not missing a single day to promote our blood drive booth during lunch. Overall, I believe that she has excelled well this month and I can't wait to see what experience she will bring to the club and what she'll accomplish as our vice president!"

"Millikan Key Club deserves this award because they're a club I have not missed at all at an event! Their club works well with division together and show constant positivity wherever they go."

"Their club members helped their local community’s elementary school’s carnival and the members were in charge of running game booths and enjoyed interacting with the children!"

"St. Joseph raised funds for PTP by selling chocolates during school hours. They were able to raise a total of $600!"
